Set out below is the terms and conditions on which Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser provides services to its clients.
Prior to any treatment you will always have a consultation to assess whether the treatment is suitable for you, or likely to be successful. If not, we will inform you as to the reasons why. Even if you wish to have a particular treatment, if we do not believe that treatment is in your interest, we will decline to treat you.
The practice of medicine and surgery is not an exact science and therefore no guarantee can be given as to the precise results of any treatment undertaken. Every effort is made to ensure you have the best possible outcome, but as with all medical procedures, there can be a spectrum of results. Results vary from person to person and depend on several factors, some of which cannot always be predicted. We will use what is considered best practice and up-to-date techniques to help achieve a good outcome, but please note there can be no guarantees as to the final outcome and your expectations and the predicted realistic outcome may be different.
Dermal filler correction is expected to last for a period of 6-12 months. The successful outcome varies by degree and how long it lasts varies from one individual to another and cannot be guaranteed.
We require a £100 consultation fee for patients in order to secure an appointment. This fee is redeemable against any treatment, and non refundable. In the unlikely event that you are not suitable for any treatment with us then this fee may become refundable at our discretion, otherwise it will remain on account as a credit and can be used against any treatment in our menu of treatments. The consultation fee deposit will expire after 12 months.
We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice in order to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
Appointments outside the minimum 48 hour notice period incur a £100 fee.
Appointments taking place on a Monday require 72 hours notice due to closure at weekends.
Missed appointments, arriving late (15 minutes or more) to your appointment or faliure to give the required notice will result in a £100 cancellation fee being charged. If you are on any course of treatment and fail to attend or are late (15 minutes or more) and the treatment cannot be performed, that treatment will be automatically deducted from the course. Please note that if you do not attend an appointment, or give short notice (less than 48 hours), or no notice, we may decline to offer you a further appointment.
All long appointments require a 10% deposit fee to secure the appointment. This is required on booking to confirm the appointment.
All treatments purchased, as a course of treatments must be paid in full, at the time of your first treatment. All treatments must be taken within twelve months of the date of the first treatment. Any treatments not taken by the first anniversary of the purchase date will be forfeited. All courses of treatments are non-refundable and non-transferable. If however you have paid for a course and are unable to complete the course for medical reasons (as documented in a letter from your GP) we will make a refund to you, calculated by deducting the full list price of all treatments taken, including those forfeited for non-attendance, from the total price of the course of treatments paid for and refunding the difference. In the event of short term/temporary side effects such as reddening, bruising, swelling, mild burning or blistering, hypo/hyperpigmentation as well as very rare side effects such as scarring and permanent discoloration, we do not offer a refund or transfer of payment.
Our listed prices on our webpages, brochure or in magazine, newspaper articles and write ups are a guide and subject to confirmation at the time of consultation. Prices are subject to variation without prior notice.
Complimentary Botox top ups must be done within 2-3 weeks of the initial treatment. If a top up is not booked within this time period or you fail to attend for your review appointment, the offer becomes non-void.
We regret we cannot refund any skin products for hygiene reasons.
Although rare, some procedures have well documented complications. Some people may also have higher risk factors, which may contribute to the occurrence of complications. We will, of course, treat these to the best of our abilities and knowledge, as many complications can be managed simply and conservatively. If you require to see Dr Joney De Souza urgently, you will have to travel to the clinic in Blandford Street. In the very unlikely event of a complication being more serious and you needing further treatment outside of our expertise, arrangements will be made for you to be treated in the NHS or if you wish, privately at your own cost. Please note it is possible that any private medical insurance may not cover complications arising from cosmetic work.
Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser will not be liable in contract, tort or otherwise for any economic loss (including, without limitation, loss of profit), or for any other special, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of, or in connection with, its provision of any goods and/or services to the client. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that he or she provide us with all relevant medical details prior to each treatment. Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser will not be liable for any damage that occurs as a result of the client’s failure to disclose such details. The client agrees to comply with all instructions and/or recommendations given to them by, or on behalf of Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser, regarding the before and after care of a treated area.
We endeavour to treat all of our patients/clients appropriately, compassionately and fairly. If, however, in the unlikely event that you have an issue with any matter in relation to your treatment, you are entitled to make a complaint and we will be happy to provide you with our complaints policy, which is also available on our website.

CANCELLATIONS
There is a 48 hour notice period to cancel or rearrange appointments. Outside this period there will be either a late cancellation fee of £100, this may be redeemed from any holding deposit. Late arrivals of 15 minutes or more might not be able to be seen.
REFUNDS
We do not offer refunds on any treatment delivered. However, if you change your mind about any treatment purchased within 14 days, we are happy to exchange it for an alternative treatment or product or offer you a refund. We do not offer refund on skincare products sold.
REVIEWS
Treatment reviews may be carried out between 2 and 4 weeks following treatment. Reviews will never be performed when there is evidence of swelling, bruising, inflammation or pain. One treatment review only will be performed per treatment and never outside the 4 weeks period following treatment.
Reviews refer to the treatment delivered and include the agreed volumes and doses of any used and paid for product. Additional services or products will be charged accordingly.
CHILDCARE
Children are welcome into our clinic. However, our staff are unable to supervise children during treatments for both health & safety and insurance reasons.
Please could we politely ask that you do not bring your children along to your appointment with us unless they are supervised by another adult.
Children will not be allowed into treatment rooms for health and safety reasons.
