An IPL photofacial treatment works by directing a beam of laser light to target the dark pigment (melanin) within age spots and red blood cells in the skin. This removes abnormalities without scarring or damage, resulting in improved skin texture and reduced signs of ageing. By adjusting the wavelengths of light emitted during an IPL treatment we can target specific skin conditions and this adjustable nature makes IPL treatment extremely versatile and easy to customise. We are therefore able to treat a single issue or address several problems simultaneously, such as pigmentation removal, redness reduction and creating a more even skin coloration.
Most people with superficial pigmented lesions resulting from sun damage are suitable for laser treatment. You will be invited for a consultation and also a patch test to ensure skin type and suitability for treatment. .
The treatment causes only minimal discomfort and any initial soreness is alleviated with a cold air cooling system. The treatment can be performed in a relaxed, comfortable manner without the use of local anaesthetics or gel.
You’ll be able to return to normal activities immediately, though sunscreen should be applied as a post-treatment precaution.

CANCELLATIONS
There is a 48 hour notice period to cancel or rearrange appointments. Outside this period there will be either a late cancellation fee of £100, this may be redeemed from any holding deposit. Late arrivals of 15 minutes or more might not be able to be seen.
REFUNDS
We do not offer refunds on any treatment delivered. However, if you change your mind about any treatment purchased within 14 days, we are happy to exchange it for an alternative treatment or product or offer you a refund. We do not offer refund on skincare products sold.
REVIEWS
Treatment reviews may be carried out between 2 and 4 weeks following treatment. Reviews will never be performed when there is evidence of swelling, bruising, inflammation or pain. One treatment review only will be performed per treatment and never outside the 4 weeks period following treatment.
Reviews refer to the treatment delivered and include the agreed volumes and doses of any used and paid for product. Additional services or products will be charged accordingly.
CHILDCARE
Children are welcome into our clinic. However, our staff are unable to supervise children during treatments for both health & safety and insurance reasons.
Please could we politely ask that you do not bring your children along to your appointment with us unless they are supervised by another adult.
Children will not be allowed into treatment rooms for health and safety reasons.
